From the lab bench to the founder's seat.
I started in optical in 2007. Behind the lab bench, mounting lenses, then up to running an optical, then up to managing operations across multiple locations. Every step on the floor.
Through that, I worked with a lot of opticals. Different markets, different doctor styles, different patient bases. Some ran at sixty cents on the dollar. Some ran at ninety. The thing that separated them was almost never what I expected going in.
It wasn't the frame board. It wasn't the prescription lab. It wasn't even the doctors. It was the floor. The handoffs, the lens conversations, the way the optician sat next to the patient, the follow-up that did or didn't happen, the system that did or didn't exist for keeping the patient in the practice's care.
By the time I left my last operational role to start OptiBridge in 2026, I had a hard-earned playbook for how to make an optical run at its peak. The methodology was real. The results were repeatable. What was missing was a way to deliver it at scale, and a tool to plug the biggest leak in any optical, the patient who walks out without buying.
That tool, and that methodology, is OptiBridge.
